《乡土中国》是我国社会学和人类学奠基人费孝通先生的经典之作。读大学时,在老师们的鼎力推荐下,我去图书馆寻得此书,虔诚拜读,读罢却大多不知所云,大笑难解真意。工作近十年后,闲暇重翻此书,朴实而精练的文字力透纸背,引人入胜。我一口气读完全书,有醍醐灌顶之感。掩卷长思,《乡土中国》在潜移默化中诉说着,传统中国是今日中国之逻辑前提,要想真切地理解今日中国,必须深刻领悟传统中国的内涵。这恰恰就是我们当代国人,尤其是年轻一代很少触及的软肋。 “Native China” is the classic of Mr. Fei Xiaotong, the founder of our sociology and anthropology. When I was in college, with the full support of my teachers, I went to the library to find this book. I read it devoutly, but I mostly did not understand it when I read it. After nearly ten years of work, I spent a lot of time in my spare time. The simple and concise texts permeate the paper and attract people’s attention. I read the whole book at a stretch, there is a sense of imprisonment. To conceal the long thought, “Native China” tells the subtle influence that traditional China is the logical premise of today’s China. If we want to truly understand China today, we must profoundly comprehend the connotation of traditional China. This is exactly the soft underbelly we rarely get by our contemporary people, especially the younger generation.
