【罗品超】原名罗肇鉴。1912年生于广东南海县。十二岁在广州花地孤儿院举办的粤剧科班学艺,后得到戏剧家欧阳予倩、洪深,粤剧著名小生靓耀的言传身教,打下了扎实的基本功。1931年。罗品超在“千秋鉴”、“九华台”等剧团担任正印小生,接着在“觉先声”剧团与薛觉先、靓少凤、千里驹、陈非侬等著名演员合作演出。三十年代,即已成名,除了在广州、港澳演出外,还常到泰国、新加坡、马来西亚等地演出,同时在香港一些制片厂拍过几十部电影,曾名噪一时。解放后,他回到广州。1952年参加第一届全国戏曲会演,荣获演员一等奖。罗品超文武兼长,表演精确冼练,潇洒俊逸,唱腔高亢激越,优美抒情。他虚心学习各兄弟剧种之长,在继承传统的同时,又有发展、创造。他主演的传统剧目《平贵别窑》、《林冲》、《荆轲》、《罗成写书》以及现代戏《山乡风云》等,都成功地塑造了观众所喜爱的艺术形象。今期特选登罗品超演唱名曲《逼上梁山》(词谱对照)及《罗成写书》、《黄萧养走珠江》、《凤仪亭》、《平贵别窑》以飨读者。
