以前,我们研制过一种用硅树脂作包层和二氧化硅作芯的甚低损耗的硅有机树脂包层光纤,也弄清了传输特性。然而,硅塑料包层光纤的机械特性还不够清楚。虽然,塑料的机械强度和玻璃材料强度比较起来不大。但硅树脂包层纤维的机械强度能够用合适的材料缆化增强。这篇论文叙述了硅树脂作包层的光缆的机械特性,老化特性和传输特性的测量结果。
In the past, we have developed a very low loss silicon-organic resin clad fiber that uses silicone as a cladding and silica as a core, as well as the transmission characteristics. However, the mechanical properties of silicone plastic clad fibers are not clear enough. Although, the mechanical strength of plastic and glass material strength is relatively small. However, the mechanical strength of the silicone-clad fibers can be increased with a suitable material for cable-lamination. This paper describes the measurement of the mechanical, aging, and transmission characteristics of a silicone-clad cable.
