In the past few decades, Nordic women have drawn world attention for their outstanding overall quality and impressive political performance. The level of economic development, political system and cultural characteristics of the five Nordic countries (Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland) all share commonalities. This article intends to examine the status quo of women’s participation in politics in North America from a multi-angle perspective, analyzes the historical and realistic constraints of women’s participation in politics, attempts to reveal the essential connotation of the “Nordic model” and explore barriers to the realization of women’s political participation so as to promote the development of women’s studies in our country Inspired
