麦积山现存第70、71、74、78四个窟为学术界公认的早期洞窟,对麦积山早期洞窟的研究具有重要意义。因为时间久远,四个洞窟皆有不同程度的损坏或后世的重修,本文对该四个洞窟的现存内容进行记录,并在此基础上分析麦积山早期洞窟的艺术风格。目前学术界基本认同的是现存编号为70、71、74、78四个窟为麦积山早期开凿的洞窟,董玉祥先生1983年发表的《麦积山石窟的分期》一文将74、78、70、71、165等窟作为 Maiji Mountain existing 70,71,74,78 four caverns recognized as early caverns, the study of the early Maijishan cave is of great significance.
