海百合化石告诉我这样一个事实:生命是短暂的,生命之美却可以永恒。当海百合第一次出现在眼前时,我以为是看到了八大山人笔下的墨荷:从一团纠缠的根里伸出数枝纤细的茎杆,娉娉婷婷的捧着一朵朵盛开的花朵。没有淤泥,也没有鱼虾之类的俗物,只与清水相伴。“荷”就这样孤傲、无欲地生长着,绽放着,用生命的精华展示她的最美,以至于连荷叶都省掉了——这就是海百合!海百合其实并不是荷,而是一种生活在亿万年前的海洋里的腔肠类动物;那一朵朵娇艳的花朵,其实是它的口器;今天我们所能看到的,也只是它已经钙化的躯体——化石。发生在亿万年前的一场沧海桑田的巨变,
