混气电解加工具有如下特点;能达到较高的精度。可能获得±(0.1~0.05mm)的加工精度;可以省略压力腔和复杂的电解液供排系统; 电极修正得以简化,一般来说,电极表面均匀去除0.1mm 即可。冲刷间隙的流动条件得以改善。混合物流能防止产生空穴流线。在鉴赏混气电解加工时,也必须指出在大面积加工时存在的一些问题,在筹划加工过程和设计电极结构时必须考虑这些问题。当加工面积大而仍保持小的间隙,则将使流动阻力加大而恶化冲刷条件。在间隙中,电解液通路长度上的巨大差异将导致加工表面上电解液分布不均和性质不同,这会损坏表面质量。为获得合适的加工结果就需要假定以下条件:电解液和气体的混合物具有良好的性质;电解加工机床的机械刚性能保证加工间隙的精度在0.01mm 左右。具有良好的防止短路的系统。
