在人类迈向21世纪的今天,学习知识成为人人追求的目标。1990年美国学者彼德·圣吉提出“学习型组织”的理念后,在世界范围内得到了广泛的共鸣,建立学习型组织,构建终身教育体系成为人们的一种共识。党的十六大报告提出:全面建设小康社会的目标之一就是“形成全民学习、终身学习的学习型社会,促进人的全面发展。”农村地区如何适应时代的浪潮,加快发展教育步伐,成为农村教育现代化的新特征。为此,建设学习型农村,多为农民创造学习条件, 培养农民终身学习的好习惯,对于农村实现全面建设小康社会的目标非常重要。
