在国际贸易中,最惠国待遇原则指签订双边或多边贸易条约的缔约一方根据条约和国内立法在贸易、投资、航海、关税以及公民法律地位等方面给予缔约另一方享受现在和将来给予任何第三方在相同领域的利益、优惠、特权或豁免。最惠国待遇原则是调整缔约国之间经济贸易关系时一般适用的原则,其基本目的是国家通过条约法律形式来消除缔约国之间在贸易、关税等方面的差别待遇,保证各缔约国在国际经济贸易活动中处于有利的地位或至少处于不受歧视的同等地位。
