由于小学办学规模比较小,办学水平相对来说比较差,所以很多经过专业化教育的体育教师不愿意到小学工作,造成了小学体育教学质量不高,甚至有的时候出现从其他岗位兼任体育课的情况,兼任的语文教师或者是数学教师,没有经过专业化的培训,难以很好地完成体育课程标准对于体育教学的要求,更谈不上创新。有些小学还存在着体育课时间被语文和数学课占用的情况,完全不能充分理解体育教学对于小学生身心发展的重要作用。
