昆明铁路分局有SS3型电力机车29台,配属昆明机务段,运行在贵昆线南端昆明至宣威区段。该区段坡道长、曲线多、曲率半径小,全长为258 km,坡度为12‰,海拔高度在2000m左右,牵引定数为2250t。这些机车运行近一年,车顶瓷瓶就开始裂纹、击穿,特别是受电弓支持瓷瓶发生击穿爆炸多起。车顶瓷瓶一旦在中途击穿,牵引变电所就要跳闸,机车乘务人员上车顶处理,快则半小时,慢则40分钟以上,因整个供电臂停电,则该供电臂上的列车都要受到影响。因此这种质量事故严重地威胁着行车安全和正常运输秩序。一、受电弓瓷瓶故障统计 1991年受电弓支持瓷瓶发生裂纹、击穿26次。其中,裂纹9次占34.6%,击穿炸开17次占65.4%,见表1。
