水工混凝土结构与材料是一个综合性学科,研究对象是水利水电工程中的建筑物,分为水工结构和水工材料两个领域,受篇幅限制,本专题报告重点评述有关高混凝土坝的形式、变形、强度、稳定分析和安全评价,以及水工材料的学科发展,混凝土坝规模大,施工周期长,受自然和施工条件与过程的制约,结构和基础内部存在着许多现有科技手段尚不能察明的不确定因素,设计和施工在相当大的程度上仍需大量借鉴经验类知识,每一个大型水工建筑物的设计和施工都会遇到新的挑战,这是水工结构学科发展的特点,同时,水工结构是一门强交叉性学科,可以说,没有现代计算机、网络、先进的勘测、试验和监测技术手段的发展,就没有学科今天的发展。
