孔子是儒家的创始人,被人视为中国古代最伟大的教育家,他和学生的对话被编成《论语》一书;老子是道家的创始人,被后人尊为中国古代最伟大的思想家之一,也是中国古代哲学代表著作《道德经》的作者。他们两个人的雕像依次被放置到华中科技大学这一以工科校园的两栋教学楼前面,充分体现了该校作为一所现代化高校重视文理结合的办学理念。本文以两处雕像景观为出发点,首先介绍了各自的地理位置、诞生情况以及自身形态;然后从各个方面简述了它们为校园带来的文化改变;最后,阐述了笔者认为的一些可以改进的地方,以及对两座雕像和两栋建筑间的关系做出了自己的见解。
Confucius was the founder of Confucianism and was regarded as the greatest educator in ancient China. His dialogue with students was compiled into an Analects of Confucius. Laozi was the founder of Taoism and was honored by his descendants as the greatest of ancient China. One of the thinkers, is also the author of “moral classics”, the representative book of ancient Chinese philosophy. The statues of the two of them were placed in front of two teaching buildings at Huazhong University of Science and Technology, which is an engineering campus. This fully demonstrates the school’s philosophy of attaching importance to combining culture with the arts as a modern university. This article takes the two statues as the starting point, first introduces their own geographical location, birth and its own form; then from all aspects of their brief description of the cultural changes brought to the campus; Finally, I described some of the improvements that can be Places, as well as the two statues and the relationship between the two buildings made their own views.
