20世纪80年代末,国际水稻研究所提出并实施了著名的半矮秆少蘖大穗新株型“超级稻”选育计划,即株高90~100cm,每穗200~250粒,产量800~1000kg/667m~2,比现有水稻品种增产30%~50%。笔者通过光合潜力分析,认为在成都这样的低日照地区开展“超级优质稻”选育也是能够成功的。因此,于1996年10月经新津县科委论证立项正式开始了选育工作。
In the late 1980s, the International Rice Research Institute proposed and implemented a well-known new plant type “super rice” breeding program with semi-dwarf, small tiller and big spike, with a plant height of 90-100 cm and 200-250 grains per spike. The yield 800 ~ 1000kg / 667m ~ 2, 30% ~ 50% more than the existing rice varieties. Through the analysis of photosynthetic potential, the author believes that it is successful to carry out “super-quality rice” breeding in such low-sunshine areas as Chengdu. Therefore, in October 1996 by Xinjin County Science and Technology Commission demonstration project officially began breeding.
