防虫情况我區各縣,自六月下旬普遍發生虫害,以子蝗(黏虫)最為嚴重,受災重的每株苞谷上多達五十至二○○條虫,輕的每株一至十絛虫,其次爲螟虫,此外部份地區尚有飯豆虫、打庇虫(稻象鼻虫)、黑壳虫、土蠶、蝗虫、紅腦壳虫、(?)虫等害虫,僅以昭、會、鎮、鹽、大、永、彜七個縣統計:重災鄉就達一四二個,佔這七個縣總鄉數百分之一四。其中以鹽津爲例:
