The spatio-temporal variations of soil physical properties and nutrients in different slopes of Cunninghamia lanceolata were studied. Compared with 2004, the bulk density of soil reduced in uphill in 2007 and slightly increased in middle slope and downhill, soil capillary porosity increased and soil natural water content increased significantly in each position. Soil non-capillary pores in uphill and downhill , The total pore and capillary water holding increased, while the opposite slope. In addition to the soil non-capillary pores in 2004 and the capillary holding capacity in 2007, there was no significant difference in the soil physical properties of each slope. Compared with 2004, there was almost no change in soil pH in all slope positions in 2007, and the content of soil organic matter, total nitrogen, total phosphorus, total potassium, available nitrogen, available phosphorus and available potassium increased significantly in all slope positions. In 2004 and 2007, the soil pH was similar in all slope positions. The contents of soil organic matter and total nitrogen, total phosphorus, total potassium, available nitrogen, and available potassium in 2007 were both downhill and mid-slope greater than uphill. In 2004, the available phosphorus content was similar in all slope positions. In 2007, it was downhill> uphill> mid slope. In 2004, the available potassium content was uphill> middle slope> downhill. There is a significant difference between organic matter and most nutrients in each slope.
