Fifty-five breast-fed infants from 1 to 8 months without vitamin D supplementation were randomly divided into two groups. The experimental group encouraged more sun exposure; the other group was natural control. During the two months of observation, the infant’s diet consisted exclusively of breast milk, juice and syrup. Outdoor activities expose only the face and forearm. At the start of the experiment, 25 infants who had 25-hydroxy-cholecalciferol (25-OH-D) in their infants at a level below the reference limit of 11 ng / ml accounted for about 20% of the total, and X-rays were diagnosed as about 18% . The coincidence rate of the two diagnostic indicators was 68.6%. The average 25-OH-D concentration in maternal blood was 21.9 ng / ml, which was significantly correlated with the 25-OH-D concentration in infants’ blood with a correlation coefficient of 0.464. During the observation period, the average outdoor daily activity of infants was 116 minutes in the experimental group and 63 minutes in the control group. The concentrations of 25-OH-D in the experimental group before and after the experiment were 29.7 ± 13.3 and 38.1 ± 20.0ng / ml, respectively, with significant difference (P <0.01). There was no difference between the control group before and after 20.6 ± 15.5 and 19.1 ± 13.4ng / ml. The concentrations of 25-OH-D in the two groups of infants were significantly correlated with the scores of their respective outdoor activities (r = 0.668 and 0.631). The latter is related to sunlight (UVS) to the body surface in seconds (r = 0.580). Prompt baby weekly outdoor activities scoring 800 ~ 1000, you can maintain blood 25-OH-D concentration in the normal range.
