南水北调35k V永久供电线路在进出降压站及地形地物复杂地区使用高压三相电力电缆,因电缆敷设为隐蔽工程,埋入地下电缆的运行状况难以监测、发生故障时更加难以排查,电缆型故障定位及负荷监测系统可对南水北调永久供电线路对应电缆区段的短路和接地故障进行监测,同时在电缆温度异常时发出报警信号,通过无线网络将故障信息上传至终端,实时监测南水北调供电线路电缆的安全、可靠运行。
