1 Introduction In recent years, in open pit mining, pre-cracking blasting has been widely used to protect the permanent slope of open pit mine, reduce the direct destructive effect of blasting on the surrounding unexploded rock, and reduce the damage caused by blasting vibration to nearby unexploded rock. There is no known theory about the stitching mechanism of presplitting blasting, especially for the stitching mechanism in rock mass with micro-joint fracture development (in this case, pre-cracking blasting is common)
