奈温军政府统治时期,政府在对待华人政策上一改前政府的宽容态度,陆续出台了国有化等一系列严厉政策,导致华人社会悲惨的境遇。缅华社会教育事业经历了缅甸独立初期的鼎盛后,在奈温政府时期举步维艰,尤其在缅甸“6·26”反华排华暴力事件后,缅华社会人心惶惶,缅华教育几乎处于停滞的状态,但在靠近中国边境一带的果敢地区,华文教育由于政治、地理等因素,得以幸存,为后期的华文教育再发展保留了有生力量,及至八十年代,缅华教育在逆境中缓慢复苏。
During the reign of the Naev Army, the government, in its response to the Chinese policy, changed the tolerant attitude of the former government and successively promulgated a series of strict policies of nationalization and other conditions that led to the tragic situation of the Chinese community. Burma’s social and educational undertakings struggled during the Nepalese government during the early days of Myanmar’s independence. By the 1980s, education in Myanmar slowly recovered in the face of adversity.
