Among all the great opera composers in the history of Western music, Italy’s Giuseppe Verdi (1813-1901) is very political. In his creation, the political conception embodied by Don Carlo (Italian: Don Carlos, French: Don Carlos) is quite complete and full. It carries the composers’ comprehension of the political spirit as the times change Change, but also profoundly expressed the close relationship between the opera and the history of ideas. Julian Baden comments on the opera: “Verdi has never had an opera like the” Don Carlo, “so enthusiastically reevaluated over the past twenty-five years. Remove some excellent footage , Which at first was considered gloomy, loose, music unbalanced, is now considered by many to Verdi’s masterpiece. ”(1) Verdi’s political concern stems from his life in Italy and Europe
