This article studied the physiological effects of normal free fatty acids (FFAs) on Mat1376b ascites tumor cells in F344 rats, and concluded that unsaturated fatty acids (such as palmitic, oleic, linoleic, linolenic, and arachidonic acid) can function in vitro. Significant killing of tumor cells, and their effects are greater than the corresponding equal length carbon chain saturated fatty acids (such as palmitic, stearic, and arachidic). In vitro, saturated chlo- charcoal fatty acids (palmitic acid) are more toxic to tumor cells than saturated octadecanoic (stearic) and eicosanic (arachidic) acids. Injecting a complex of linoleic acid-linolenic acid into rats that have been inoculated with tumor cells can significantly improve the survival of the tumor-bearing animals. The results suggest that
