五级藏书结构,将馆藏文献划分为完整级,研究级、大学级、基础级和最低水平级,它是按藏书结构的等级来划分的,因而不是藏书结构的全貌。图书馆的藏书结构是各子结构组成的复杂的多维结构,它无法用框架式三维结构表示。五级结构又是根据美国斯坦福大学图书馆五级结构提出,基本上是适合于大学图书馆。但对各类型公共图书馆失去其普遍的适用意义,如少儿图书馆的藏书等级结构无法遵从五级结构。因而有必要探讨一下图书馆普遍适用的藏书等级结构。一、确立藏书等级的依据文献都具有其固有的学术水平和潜在的价值,而利用文献的读者也有不尽相同的文化水平层次和利用文献的各种目的。当读者的文化水平、利用文献的目的与文献主体的学术水平和潜在价值一致
Five-level library structure, the collection of books is divided into complete level, research level, university level, basic level and the lowest level, which is divided according to the level of collection of books structure, and therefore not a comprehensive picture of the structure of the collection.
