本文在对国内外现代和古代三角洲调研的基础上，结合我国中新生代含油气盆地中三角洲的发育特点将三角洲划分为二类７个亚类。即海相三角洲和湖相三角洲，前者可细分为河控、浪控、潮控和复合型三角洲；后者可细分为吉尔伯特型三角洲、扇三角洲和辫状河三角洲。在我国东部油气区以湖相三角洲为主。
Based on the investigation of the modern and ancient delta both at home and abroad, the paper divides the delta into seven sub-categories according to the developing characteristics of the mid-Cenozoic petroliferous delta. That is, marine delta and lacustrine delta, the former can be subdivided into river control, wave control, tidal control and compound delta; the latter can be subdivided into Gilbert delta, fan delta and braided river delta.
