In January, April, July and October 2002, the litter layer (including Oi, Oe and Oa layers) of the monoculture plantations of Castanopsis kawakamii and Cunninghamia lanceolata (33 year old) ) Were sampled and dissolved organic carbon (DOC) concentrations in the litter layer samples were determined using a TOC analyzer. The seasonal variation patterns of DOC concentrations at different levels of litter decomposition were similar in the litter of Castanopsis kawakamii and Cunninghamia lanceolata plantations, with the maximum in autumn or winter. DOC concentration and seasonal variation of litter layer were related to temperature, humidity, biological activity and the amount of organic matter in litter layer. Table 2 Figure 2 参 31.
