通过试点探索南方低山丘陵区土壤航片判读的可行程序和方法,研究判读标志及判读精度,并侧重以识别地貌、岩性、植被、土地利用类型为主的土壤航片判读研究.二、试点地区及其自然条件选湖南省祁阳县文富市公社一带作试区约在东经111°55′13″~111°48′3″及北纬26°44′14″~26°46′58″之间,总面积50平方公里,其中低山高丘约占60%,中低丘占25%,阶地、冲谷及水面等合占25%.试区东南部隆起为低山高丘,林木葱郁,多由板岩为主的变质岩构成,海拔300米左右,最高峰572.9米.山岭自东南向西北蜿蜒下降,构成紫色岩、硅质岩及石灰岩的中低丘,植被渐疏,局部基岩裸露,海拔200米以下,第四纪红土则居于这些中低丘之间.
