According to the 1982 census data, there are 35 ethnic groups in Shanxi Province (excluding those who have not yet identified the nationalities and foreigners who join the Chinese nationality. People of all ethnic groups live in harmony for a long time, unite with their beloved and close contacts and jointly inhabit this land and contribute their own strength to the socialist economic construction in Shanxi.
