The epitaph of Tang Dong Tang, unearthed in Fengtai District of Beijing in the late 1980s, was a stone’s throw from the middle and late thirties of the late Tang Dynasty (859) to more than 1,400 words. Epitaph detailed records of Dong origin, development, and brilliant predecessors. The owner of the epitaphs was once Tang Dynasty Lurong Jiedushi command under the command of the Nazi troops and Mabufang. This log records the large-scale water transport in Lulong, Tang Youzhou for the first time, providing a testimony for our understanding of the economic development, waterway transportation and shipbuilding industry in Beijing during the Tang Dynasty. The name of the newly emerged village also provides strong evidence for studying Beijing’s urban development today.
