To uphold the mass line, we must keep in close contact with the masses and serve the people wholeheartedly. From the historical lessons of the drastic changes in the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, we have come to the conclusion that only by maintaining the flesh-and-blood ties between the party and the masses can we build a steel and iron wall that is resistant to corruption and prevent change.
