Partially simulate heavy steel raw materials and blast furnace conditions, the comparative method was used to study the desulfurization ability of low-titanium slag in heavy steel blast furnace. Based on the mathematical model of slag composition and desulfurization capacity, the Ls diagrams of CaO-SiO 2 -TiO 2 ternary system with different MgO contents were drawn. The effects of basicity of slag, content of TiO_2 and MgO on the desulfurization capacity of low titanium slag were discussed.The heavy slag with high basicity, low titanium and low magnesium was selected under the condition of high sulfur load, variety of raw materials and composition variation, It is necessary and appropriate.
