抚顺矿业集团林业处现有森林36 305 hm2,但1990年前,落叶松、油松人工纯林面积占到了86%。由于培育单一树种大面积的人工纯林,出现了地力衰退、生产力下降、有害生物蔓延、生态功能下降等弊端。20年来,依据“近自然林”理论,在森林培育的各个环节中,连续采取改变人工纯林树种组成、调整林分结构等措施,逐步诱导人工纯林向复层异龄混交林演替,初步实现了人工纯林向建康的近自然林的转化。
