近几十年科学技术的飞跃发展迫使各个领域的科学家需要创造构成更多的科技术语来表达不断涌现的新科学的概念和不断发明创造出的新科学事物。这样就使得作为科学领域里主要国际通用语言英语经历了不断的“词汇爆炸”的发展过程。本文根据上面的情况从三个方面论述了科技英语词汇的构成和发展新趋势。这些新趋势大致包括：１外来词的比例减小，词源有所变化；２由本族语构成的词越来越多；３借用普通词的新词比例越来越高 The rapid development of science and technology in recent decades has forced scientists in various fields to create more scientific and technological terms that constitute more and more emerging scientific concepts and new scientific discoveries that are constantly being invented and invented.
