1985年5月14日设立激光和化学复合技术研究会(简称 ILCT)、率先从事激光技术研究的工业开发研究所,开设了作为其开发与研究基地的激光技术中心,直接参与名符其实的激光研究。这一激光技术中心作为该会的独立研究以及与会员公司、机关等的合作研究场所,还接受会员公司的委托研究与职工教育。还进行工业开发研究所本身一直从事的原子能和化学、生物等技术与激光技术结合的研究工作,并打算进行长期的远景研究。不论何种研究,都想办成政府、产业和学校共同合作的研究基地。这次完成的建筑物面积为691.50m~2。该中心目前进行的研究题目为:(1)5μm带高功率 CO 激光器 On May 14, 1985, the Institute for Laser and Chemical Compounding (ILCT) was set up as the first industrial research institute to conduct laser technology research.
