The invention relates primarily to a missile aft device which is adapted to be launched from a launch tube and which includes a plurality of empennages which are rotatable about an axis mounted parallel to the longitudinal axis of the rocket. Thus, the tail can be deployed radially from the stowed position to the working position. In the stowed position, a tail overlaps the axis of the adjacent empennage. The object of the invention is to provide a tail-mounted missile with a relatively large tailplane and a simple production that can be connected to the missile without special structural solutions so as not to affect the propulsion efficiency.
