《新英语课程标准》指出,语言有丰富的文化内涵。接触和了解英语国家文化有益于对英语的理解和使用,有益于加深对本国文化的理解与认识,有益于培养世界意识。然而农村初中英语教学中师生文化意识淡薄,课堂文化元素难寻,跨文化教学的路很艰辛。但是作为英语教师,有责任培养学生的社会文化能力,真正意义上地提高英语教育水平。笔者根据自己对初中英语教学工作的认识,谈谈农村初中英语教学中存在的问题及解决这些问题的对策。
The New English Curriculum Standard states that language has a rich cultural connotation. Getting in touch with and understanding English-speaking countries’ culture is good for understanding and using English. It helps to deepen the understanding and understanding of our own culture and is conducive to cultivating a sense of the world. However, the teachers and students in rural junior middle school English teaching weak cultural awareness, difficult to find classroom cultural elements, cross-cultural teaching is very difficult. However, as an English teacher, it is the responsibility of students to cultivate students’ social and cultural competence and really raise the standard of English education. Based on my own understanding of junior high school English teaching, the author talks about the existing problems in junior middle school English teaching in rural areas and the solutions to these problems.
