OBJECTIVE: To maximize the functional recovery of fingers after flexor tendon injury in children through microsurgery. Methods: Fifteen children with flexor tendon injury who were treated from 2010 to 2013 were enrolled in this study. They were all under the microscope. They were sutured with a 5/0 nondestructive line and sutured with a modified Kessler method. Continuous suture, postoperative functional exercise gradually. Results: All patients were healed by first intention after operation. After one year follow-up, according to the TAM test, 9 cases were excellent, 8 good and 3 fair, the excellent and good rate was 85%. Conclusion: The use of microsurgery and postoperative functional exercise is an important measure to improve the efficacy of finger flexor tendon injury in children.
