This article analyzes 512 children with Willms tumors (I, II, III) collected by the International Children's Cancer Society, and focuses on the relationship between lymph node metastasis and prognosis. Microscopic examination of 300 cases of lymph nodes revealed 45 cases with metastases (15%) and 255 cases with normal lymph nodes (85%). The survival and treatment rates for patients with lymph node metastases were 47% and 27%, respectively; whereas those without metastases were 79% and 67%. Therefore, the difference in cure rate and survival rate between the above two groups of patients was statistically significant. The authors believe that lymph node metastasis is a sign of poor prognosis for Willms tumors. The prognosis of patients with lymph node metastases
