“中国农村发展研究奖”由被誉为“中国农村改革之父”的杜润生发起设立,2004年举行首次评选,此后每两年评选一次,是中国“三农”研究领域的权威奖项,其获奖成果也是国家制定“三农”相关政策的重要理论参考。《第七届中国农村发展研究奖获奖作品集》收录了这一奖项的最新获奖成果,包括4部专著奖获奖作品、10篇论文奖获奖作品。著名“三农”问题专家、中央农村工作领导小组原副组长陈锡文为本书撰写序言。
