李牧华原名李实,一九二三年十月生于甘肃省清水县李崖村。七岁进河北书院,发蒙读书,熟读《幼学》、《四书》、《诗经》、《古文观止》,这为他日后从事写作和传统文化的研究打下了良好的基础。十二岁转西关小学,接受民国新教育。小学时代,他最爱结伴探幽访胜。他和好友走到祝英台塬,看到荒草萋萋的祝英台坟,想起祝梁哀艳迷人的故事。他们登临轩口窑,缅怀轩辕黄帝邃古的传说。他们远足十五里外的庞公庵,对庞公终老林泉的精神肃
Li Muhua, formerly known as Li Shi, was born in October 1923 in Liya Village, Qingshui County, Gansu Province. At the age of seven, he went to Hebei Academy of Fine Arts and studied at the “Book of Changes”, “Four Books”, “The Book of Songs” and “Ancient Chinese Viewpoint”, laying a solid foundation for his future work on writing and traditional culture. At the age of twelve, he transferred to the West Primary School and accepted the new education of the Republic of China. Primary school, his favorite companion to visit visit wins.
