This paper presents a superior form control technique that affects the lateral flow of metal in the roll gap by controlling the tension distribution at the outlet of the rolling mill to compensate for the lateral deformation in the strip extension. This method allows the web to be lifted vertically by two inclined short rollers. We will describe the operation of a continuous rolling mill to describe the basic theory of the research and the actual results. Compared with the traditional 1% roll angle measurement, this method can control the angle to 3%.
