美《内科新闻》第14卷第23期(1981年)第1页报道美国贝塞斯达消息:退役军人管理局医学中心医务处、肯塔基大学医学院的安德森(James W Anderson)主任在美国营养学会年会上说,高复合碳水化合物和低脂肪的膳食能降低成人发病的糖尿病病人的胰岛素需要量。高纤维膳食能使许多病人停止胰岛素治疗,并且对降低血液胆固醇水平有附加的优点。 36名不胖、胰岛素治疗的成人糖尿病病人,给予2~4周维持体重的膳食,此膳食70%的能量来自碳水化合物、19%为蛋白质、11%为脂肪,每日膳食中有65克植物纤维。

High fiber diet can stop many patients insulin treatment, and to reduce blood cholesterol levels have additional advantages. Thirty-six non-obese, insulin-treated adult diabetic patients were given 2 to 4 weeks maintenance diet consisting of 70% carbohydrates, 19% protein, 11% fat and 65 grams of daily diet fiber.
