铁道部通信网重点改造工程——兰新复线通信网改造工程,于1996年8月17日零点全线割接,正式投入铁路通信网运行.兰新复线沿线十几个点,绵延近千公里,全线从C2至C5局均采用深圳华为公司生产的C＆C08数字程控交换机,设备总容量达34000线.其中做为C2局的乌鲁木齐铁路局装机容量达10000用户线,近2000路中继.铁道部兰新复线验收小组于1996年7月10～19日进行了为期10天的复验,以铁标作为验收标准,按铁标7号、铁标1号进行了全面、严格的测试.复验结果,铁道部正式同意华为公司设备进入铁路网使用.
