9%Ni钢是适用于制造筒、槽容器的钢板,它与低碳钢板的识别用肉眼是很困难的。如采用X线衍射、光谱分析、火花检验及呈色反应等方法识别,又必须具有一定设备或熟练的操作技术。最简单的方法是利用它们不同的氧化速度来识别:在钢板表面滴上一滴水,约过5～10分钟,水蒸发完,9%Ni钢板上留下一个白色水迹;而低碳钢板上显现的却是红茶色的锈痕,据此即可分辨。
