在我国版图的东部,有一条纵贯南北、连六省、通五水(海河、黄河、淮河、长江、钱塘江)的河流,她就是世界上开凿最早的人工运河——京杭大运河。 运河之水在流经江苏邳州时,拐了一道弯,折向东南。 从隋炀帝下令凿运河,到元世祖时开凿“会通河”(临清到东平)纵贯南北,历史中的运河兴衰几度。尔今,邳港人历经数十载磨砺,以先人横断东流水的气概,将一颗璀璨明珠嵌在千古运河的这一小小弯道上,立地生辉。
