芳香木蠹蛾(Cosslus cossus Linnaeus)又名杨木蠹蛾,是林业生产上重要害虫之一,多为害杨、柳、榆、核桃、苹果、梨等树木。幼虫蛀入枝、干和根茎的木质部内为害,造成树木的机械损伤,破坏生理机能,使树势减弱,形成枯梢或枝干遇风易折,甚至整株死亡。近年来此虫在安新县发生较为严重,特别是2007年的秋末(10~11月间),常见大量芳香木蠹蛾的紫色老熟幼虫寻找越冬场所时在街道、路旁等处爬行的场景,严重威胁着当地的绿化建设和林业生产安全。
