宁夏回族自治区吴忠市二中有一支成立于1982年的举重队。建队以来,学校全面支持,教练严格要求,队员刻苦训练,训练成绩不断提高。建队以来,学校组队参加自治区比赛,共拿金牌45枚,银牌20枚,铜牌57枚,其中,彭晓梅同学参加全国青少年举重比赛抓举平世界记录,同时学校向自治区体校输送优秀举重队员13名,学校因此被自治区授予体育先进集体称号。2002年,学校新一届领导班子把体育工作作为学校文化建设的重要组成部分来抓,并提出了“体育强校”的发展思
Wuzhong City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region has a second set up in 1982 weightlifting team. Since the establishment of the team, the school fully supports the coaches strict requirements, team members training hard, training continuously improve. Since the establishment of the team, the school has joined teams in the autonomous region to compete in the competition with 45 gold medals, 20 silver medals and 57 bronze medals. Among them, Peng Xiaomei took part in the National Youth Weightlifting Competition and took the world record. Meanwhile, the school delivered excellent weight-lifting members to the autonomous region sports schools. First, the school was therefore awarded the advanced collective sports autonomous region title.
