2008年5月30日上海某造船厂600t造船门机垮塌造成3人死亡,2人重伤,直接经济损失4766万元。其中主要原因是因为纠偏装置没有起到作用。因此国家技术监督局为了防止类似事故的发生,于2009年10月出台了大跨度(>40m)起重机大车纠偏装置强制检验规范:大跨度(>40m)起重机必须安装大车纠偏装置,要求两腿行走误差不能超过跨度的5/1000,并能进行数据显示,偏差报警等功能。
