MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are a type of endogenous, single-stranded, non-coding RNA of about 19-24 nt that binds to specific mRNAs and thereby inhibits the translation of target mRNAs or leads to the degradation of target mRNAs. In the course of parasite growth and morphological differentiation , Nutrition metabolism and pathogenic process plays a crucial role in the regulation of gene expression. Although the current research on parasite miRNA has made new progress, the key miRNA involved in the interaction between parasite and host has not yet been reported. In this paper, the progress of the research on the miRNAs of parasites in recent years is reviewed in order to provide ideas for further research on the pathogenesis of parasites.
