Some of the wooden buildings along the coast of our country, such as bridges, piers, ferries and seaports, which are often submerged in water, are seriously eaten by crustaceans and molluscs in seawater. The general pile after 2 to 3 years, that is, destroyed, 20 to 30 cm diameter pile wood, and some 4 to 5 cm remaining heartwood, and some were cut off. Every year, it causes serious losses of state property. In order to further study the prevention and treatment of hydrometeor and hydra, in the autumn of 1959, together with Fujian Provincial Department of Communications, conducted a survey along the coast of southern Fujian Province, and introduced the situation of pitting and mire destruction in the following: Damage situation: According to the survey results of four large wooden-supported simple girder bridges on the river from 1 to 3 km away from Haiyin, the pile wood and the underwood are affected by the group-shaped water lice and the damage is roughly the same. Maple Bridge: Maple Bridge was built in 1950 double-framed fir simply supported beams
