曾是红军名将龚楚,字福昌,又名龚鹤村,1901年11月出生于广东省乐昌县长来镇长来村。1917年,投入粤军第二旅,不久考入滇军讲武堂韶关分校第一期步科。1924年在广州加入中国社会主义青年团,1925年转为中国共产党党员。6月,龚楚受中共广东区委派遣,以国民党中央农民部特派员的身份,赴省农民协会北江办事处从事农民运动工作。同年冬,龚楚参与建立国民党乐昌县
Former Red Army star Gong Chu, the word Fuchang, also known as Gong Crane, born in November 1901 in Lechang County, Guangdong Province, to the mayor to the village.
